HISTORY OF NMSU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
One of the oldest organizations at New Mexico State University, the Alumni Association traces its beginning to May 24, 1898, and to a meeting of graduates from the New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts, as the university was then known.
The Alumni Association helps alumni and friends connect to the university through a variety of events. The association also maintains a list of former students and graduates, promotes the interests of former students and graduates through a variety of programs and encourages good public relations between the university and its former students and alumni.
Alumni Association membership dues involve alumni in the life of the university and help to preserve the past and promote the growth of the university. Association dues also help support alumni programs that benefit alumni, current students and high school students.
